Joshua Tillman
Estate Planning Law Specialist and Accredited Estate Planner. Former Assistant General Counsel and Legislative Liaison for the Tennessee Department of Revenue; that tax-law foundation now anchors the firm’s federal tax planning, wealth-transfer, and business succession work.
Josh Tillman is a partner at the firm and an Estate Planning Law Specialist (EPLS) and Accredited Estate Planner (AEP) with the National Association of Estate Planners and Councils. He has been recognized as an estate planning specialist by the Tennessee Board of Certification and Specialization.
Josh received his B.A. in International Studies from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio in 1998 and his J.D. from George Mason University School of Law in 2013. Before joining the firm in 2015, he served as Assistant General Counsel at the Tennessee Department of Revenue and also as the agency’s Legislative Liaison. That tax-law foundation — federal and state, individual and entity — shapes how he advises today’s clients on estate, trust, and wealth-transfer matters, and on the succession of closely held businesses.
He is a member of the Tennessee Bar Association’s Estate Planning Section.
